Skoda (on the phone) says it's normal. Could you please try this on the flattest road you know of. Leave car in D and see if it creeps forwards like an auto does. I'm just not convinced it's normal. I know DSG is not a proper auto but I'm still sure I remember them "creeping".

I came from a full auto to DSG and the forward creep is the same for me.

DSG will creep when in a drive gear and your foot is off the brake. Handy for parking.

Well mine doesn't move an inch- hope it's nothing major.

It should creep forwards, same with reverse - it'll creep until you give it gas to move more.

Reverse does creep- but nothing in D...

When you have the brake depressed in D, S or R the clutch is disengaged. When you release the brake the clutch engages and the car should creep in D, S or R.

Weird though if the above is correct- R works flawlessly and it's actually quite quick without doing anything! Why should R work but no creep in D???

Mine creep in both D and R.. havent tryed the SUPERSPEED yet.. waiting till after 1500km

I wonder if the software associated with your box requires a reset? The only time I have had the creep fail was when I was parking on quite a steep hill. I got the impression that when the hill hold released there wasn't enough torque at tickover so the clutch released to protect itself. A visit to the dealer I think but not a big issue.

My vrs and my mums 1.2 TSI both creep in D, S and R.

Trip to the dealers for you matey

I have had 3 dsg Skoda's and every one has crept in R and D everytime. Just figured that as normal? :)

Mine does it - both D and R. I had the handbrake on and took footbrake off and felt car wanting to move (Did it once - not good for the clutches so never again)

Page 97 of latest manual (x A05_Fabia_OwnersManual.pdf - from "Official Fabia II documentation available for download from SKODA" at top of this forum) says:

"When the engine is running and the vehicle is stationary, it is necessary to hold the car with the brake pedal in all the positions of the selector lever (except P and N) since the power transmission is never completely interrupted, also not when the engine is idling - the vehicle creeps."

What could the issue be? Dealer says it's normal!

Does it creep when the car is on a flat road? The only reason I can think of for it not creeping forwards is if the hill-hold is activated. HHC usually needs a decent slope to kick in though.

Barely- it sort of tries (revs go up slightly) but nothing happens. The slightest of inclines and it rolls back (after hill hold gives up)

Take it to another dealer - its an issue as all auto and semi auto should creep!
