hey guys,,just wondering,,,should my standard dv have a piston or spring inside it,,,i know its a silly question,,, but my vrs octavia seeemed to be loosing boost throughout the rev range and my first thought was a leaky dv...so i took it off to do the finger on top spout test and press up the piston inside,,,,but there was no piston inside,,or spring,,,it was just hollow ????

My car looses boost intermitantly through the rev range too but mine has been remapped and a forge oo7p DV by the previous owner :( im lost with mine too am thinking maybe a bad map but it does have an invoice to r-tech for a MAF sensor so i presume t

Any chance you know someone that you could swap maf sensors see if thats ya problem?

Mines had the original DV with the rubber diaphram it asnt burst or that but did have a lot of play in the shaft were the spring goes over so in turn was leaking at one side, new one fitted made a massive difference.
