Greenline with sunroof?

Featured Replies

Hi all, can someone tell me whether a Yeti Elegance Greenline 2 is able to be fitted with a panoramic sunroof? I've had conflicting reports from dealers and online brokers, every one saying something different!

The brochure says it is available (it doesn't say 'not on Greenline II' after it anyway) but I've learnt from reading this forum that the brochure isn't always right!

Thanks in advance.

I am sure someone more knowledgeable would come forward. But I guess it is to do with the extra weight.

So for the Greenline, can't spec with:

Spare wheel

Sunroof

Just think how fast rockhopper would be around Castle Combe without that very heavy panoramic glass sunroof :giggle:

I'll find out saturday. I'm taking out the 2 rear seats as well (middle seat is always out) and I'll also take out the spare wheel (and all the junk I carry around all day long emoticon-0136-giggle.gif. Should make the car FEEL faster, even if it isn't emoticon-0140-rofl.gif.

I just hope it rains so I can overtake all the vRS's emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

Fixed that for you. ;)

Good luck Mike! Go thrash 'em... THEN post the video up please?

And the modified ones.......with all that power and no traction in the wet.......emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Hmmmm.....we'll see. (probably last againemoticon-0140-rofl.gif)

I have this model and it wasn't allowed at the time i purchased.

The DSG gearbox and Spare wheel were also notable exclusions (although you can add the spare wheel kit after registration).

It came down to weight and CO2 requirements.

Thanks AlleyCat and all, kind of what I expected to hear really :(

But I am heartened to see your MPG figure, that has cheered me up no end!

I'm with you here Mike. Even my standard 140 Yeti went way faster than the modified Fabii through the corners - totally due to the better traction of the 4x4. In the straights they gain (of course), they overtake and then wham come and doodle in front of me in the corners!!! Grrr And the worst was some stuck to the TARMAC going around the bends!!!! Hell guys that is what the bloody kerbs are for!!! Doh.

I can't make it this time Mike so enjoy and keep the Yeti side up for us!!!

But back to topic: I find it rediculous. You should be able to take whatever option you like and if you tick certain ones or a combination that all weigh too much then it is not rocket science to just give that car a higher CO2 rating and the resultant higher tax for life. So what? It is the owner's choice and he knows what he is getting and paying for.
