Slight judder through steering wheel on tick over

Featured Replies

As described in the title......

Since having a polybush dogbone mount and exhaust fitted I'm getting more feedback through the steering wheel on tickover.

When I'm driving along it's fine, but when I stop at lights, junctions ect... I can feel the vibrations from the engine more through the steering wheel.

I'm assuming it's because the polybush is much stiffer, but just wanted to check that there's nothing I should worry about, and wondered if it'll ease with time?

Thanks in advance!

After I did mine, started the car up, felt the vibration running thru' the car, thought bloody hell,

what have I done its made the car worse, steering wheel vibrates etc but, after 500miles or so everything calms down.

Still get a sllight vibration on tickover but the big plusses are:-

1/ Reduced wheel hop on fast take off

2/ Gear change is much more precise.

So dont worry its perfectly ok and par for the course, just enjoy your car

I changed mine on the weekend, using a SuperPro bush.

Can't detect any difference in tickover, but much more smooth gearchange

I'm not sure if they settle down after a while or you just get use to it but it sounds about normal, nothing to worry about.

as above totally normal to get vibration after doing this mod, it will settle down after a while.

When you first fit dogbone bushs they are awful, but they do settle down after a while
