fabia 1.2 105 tsi se plus

Featured Replies

Its a great little engine the 3 cylinder, I bought one over a 1.4 as I found it more eager. Once its done a few thousand miles itll really perk up too, enjoy  Oh, and round town the economy will better the TSi and it wont use loads of oil!

Hmmm...sorry but if you think the performance of the HTP engine is similar to the 105ps TSi you obviously didnt really test it out! Performance wise the are poles apart, even the 86ps unit is significantly stronger than the HTP. Also once bedded in the MPG between the HTP and TSi will be negligable.

He's not saying that though. For town work and shorter trips the HTP is great. It's better than the old 1.4 and will give good economy. It's only on faster and longer trips that it seems underpowered.

Fair enough but personally whilst the HTP engine is quite characterful with the two TSi engines available I think its rather surplus to requirements nowadays. On the grand scheme of things given their lack of power they arent really even that economical.

Not quite the same comparison but our vRS is pretty much as economical as our old 80hp 1.4 16v Polo if driven sensibly

Congrats, SWMBO picked up her new 1.2 12v SE+ 2 days before we went on holiday, she did just on 25k miles in her Smart, over 3.5 yrs so Petrol was a no brainer for the so few miles she does.

She absolutely loves the car , specially the tiger kitten growl you get from this engine - It really gives the car character.

Did you get the zero finance & zero VAT( equivalent), we managed to get this from the dealer, we just had to take a stock car, register & take delivery before the end of august. SWMBO got the colour she wanted, with mud flaps thrown in free.

As you can see I run a FL Octy vRS Diesel, but do lots more miles.

I have no problems driving either Skodas, I just have to remember the brakes & torque difference between the cars, & the furby is waaay better to drive than the Smart was.( for me at least)
