Tyre Rating Questions (VRS)

Featured Replies

Hi,

Where does it say what the speed and load ratings should be on the VRS (or any Fabia)?

I downloaded the manual from the Skoda site and there is no mention of this data.

Basically I want to see what it should theoretically fail an MOT on (and possible invalidate insurance)

Thanks

Fred

not sure about load rating but OE speed rating was W although alot of people still fit V';s....

Thanks for the replies.

Are the tyres meant to be 87 on the load rating?

I.e. 83 should fail the MOT.

83W

Ah, so 83 is acceptable then.

Thats a shame I was going to get some free tyres from a dealer for supplying a car with tyres not fit for purpose.

I just found this which might be of use to somebody in a future search...

So if your buying from a garage and its not got W rated tyres or above, the car is not fit for purpose - get some new tyres off them!

Thanks
