I think my drivers window regulator has gone as only 1 side of the windo goes up or down without some serious manual realigning.

I can get a new regulator on flea bay for about £90 but wonder if its easy to fit this and then re fit the glass etc? Does anyone know if there are any difficult bits or should it be a reasonable DIY job?

Once you figure how to remove the outer door handle the rest is fairly straight forward the window part is simple if you check there is posts both on this site and the VW forums giving detailed instructions and pictures

If you look in the Skoda Superb Technical Guides part of this forum I did a work through last Sunday to repaire the front window (for the front passenger side). Driver side should be near enough the same. To change the back plate only - cuts down on the work involved.

Thanks for the replies. Can anyone confirm that the regulator in the passat from 2001 on is the same and can be used in the Superb? Really struggling to get a reasonably priced Skoda unit but can get a passat unit for £30 ???

Had the same problem myself and when i took the doorcard off and was faced with metal plate i just went down the route of buying the whole panel with regulator from Skoda,saves alot of time even if it does cost the extra,But here is the link i used
