Definitely! Although I'm still deciding between an estate and hatch, but I suspect the hatch will be big enough for my needs :D

Hi Chris

Hatch will probably do fine.......... you could get half a furby in the boot and shut the door :)

That's good news - next decision 1.8T, 1.9TDI 110bhp or 1.9TDI PD 130bhp ;)

4X4 !!

I'm probably going to go for the 130 TDI when the Furby goes.

After having the furby I don't think I'd go back to a petrol engine. Driving the Octy does my head in with the mileage. I know I should drive more sedately but it's too hard.

you can try a 130 pd if you come down to weston .....just think the power of a furby vrs and lots more space..:)

Cool! Still trying to negotiate that weekend with work, but it's not looking good :( Maybe I'll take an extended lunch break ;)

Chris

First skoda I drove was a 130TDI Octy estate as they didn't have an octy vrs to test drive..

Mine will see a good number of years to come, it has been relegated to second car status so if for weekends only now, I've still got plenty of things I like to do it, but proper engineering (rather than bolt on bits) is going to be expensive.

Get the 1.8T - go on, you know you want to

However, the 130 TDI PD is also a good choice (at least it is in a VW Bora) and would be a damn sight cheaper to run than the 1.8T - my Octy vRS drinks Optimax like there is no tomorrow  [mental note: must take the lead out my boots  ]

1.8T The most FUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1.9 tdi 110 when mapped is a stunner you can have a spin in ours if you want (164 bhp & 50+ average mpg, 70000 miles no problems)

1.9 tdi 130 maps higher but I get the feeling people are having clutch problems after mapping

Thanks Stuart! Let's just say money will be a bit tight in the coming months so I'd probably be looking at the 1.9 TDI 110 with average mileage. Good to know that Jabba get good results out of them and the fuel economy is still excellent! Sadly, I think the PD130 is outside budget unless I get one with silly miles on, and I suspect the 1.8T will be quite a bit more expensive on insurance and running costs, especially the way I'd enjoy it ;)

If wendys is anything to go by you wont be disapointed, If you can find a L&K its really worth the extra

Well my Octy aint going nowhere for a while at least.

The shopping list for it is still too big to consider parting with it!

Had my Octy for just under a year now Y plate 64k miles

I can't help it, she cries for me when I'm not driving her :D

Bought my Octy L & K just over a year & a half ago... Won't be changing it for a long time depsite the pressure from MDK 1 !!!
