Load through from backrest?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me what the £100 "Load through from backrest" is that is listed as an extra on the UK yeti website.

applies to the SE, plus and elegance but not the Greenline versions

It wasn't an option when I got my SE.

As the rear seats fold down is it referring to the front seat?

Anyone got this extra?

Cheers

My Octavia vRS has a centre rear armrest and with this down, you can then release a catch to fold the piece of the seat back that was behind the armrest, meaning you can slide stuff through the back seat with it still upright. (Does that make sense?)

Perhaps that's the option it's refering too.

I have one of those on my superb, never used it. However it will come in handy should you want to transport long pieces of timber or go skiing whilst also retaining use of 2 of the rear seats.

I can't see the point of this on the Yeti. On a car with a 60/40 split rear seat I can.

The small middle seat already folds down, what is the point of just having a porthole that opens in the middle seat to slide stuff through?

I agree. And for that very reason think this listing must be in error (as ever!)

Alas the stupid Yeti passenger seat can't do what my A2's did to go fully horizontal when you wind it back. It created a perfect level floor in combination with the second boot floor over the spare. So the hump you see at the front of the Yeti photo (under the second rubber mat) is in fact the seat back.

If it is the gap that can be created between rear passenger & folding down the arm rest, wasnt this commonly referred to as a Ski flap ?
