noise from rear

Featured Replies

Hi all i have a noise coming from the rear of the car i tought it was the bearing but when i took it off the bearing was fine, does anyone know what it could be or has anyone had the same problem,

Thanks.

Have you checked how the rear tyres are wearing, you may find they have worn excessively on the inside edge, and sawtoothed. Well reknowned for the rear camber setting to need checked. So if they have get it booked in for a full 4 wheel alignment check and some new tyres.

There have been many threads on the same topic so try a few searchs, and it has been noted that Dunlops suffer really badly for this.

I had a noise from rear passenger side which turned out to be the boot trim (the vertical bit between the CD player and the edge of the back seat.)

The panel was making a sort of blip-blop sound at certain speeds over bumpy road - not a big problem but eased off when I glued the centre of it with a little silicon sealer to the underlying metal panel.
