How often

Featured Replies

Just wondering how often are these track days ran? and is it just castle combe that they are ran at?

Track days are most weeks through the summer.

But the ones listed on this forum are generally the ones run by Brisky members or at shows. Combe is twice a year, but there are others.

For other dates you can go to yourself you need somebody like MSV: http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/trackdays/car-calendar.aspx

cool thanks ! next time there is a brisky one may have to make an appearance!

The Briskoda only one's are great simply because you not only get to meet people from here but you're on track with people who aren't randoms and are mostly sensible :p

As a result you get quite a few people, like myself, who aren't that experienced and get an easy introduction to the track

Just a shame it's only every 6 months. 2 at Castle Combe then 2 at say, Brans Hatch or Oulton Park would be brilliant.

yea ill try get to one! could do with one a bit more up north, dont mind travelling but castle combe is a canny way!

Croft is down the road from you and as long as your car is fairly quite you can do aday there.Check out their website. Have done lots there but my car (Seven not Yeti but why would would anybody want to track a Yeti? )too noisy.

Unfortunately Trackdays are not that well supported by Skoda boys, yes there a few dedicated ones but we only seem to get together at Castle coombe twice a year. If you are keen then just go to a local track. Posting the date & track you are attending and one or two other Skodas will turn up. Have a look at www.trackdaylist.com where there are plenty of Airfield tracks and normal tracks to go to up there.

Indeed, kids, jobs, houses and repair bills get in the way :giggle:

Send the kids out to work!!!!!!!!

Coming in to the Winter months as well. Can't guarantee the weather and good track days are quite hard to come by in November onwards :(

If you must bring the kids on the day, use them as ballast in some way

Lots of trackdays over the winter.

If anyone is going to Cadwell Park then pleaes let me know asap so I can get the time off work and go watch :).

Combe is twice a year

The "Action Days" that Briskoda attend at Castle Combe are actually only 2 of 4 however the 2 we don't do are tagged as "Classic & Sport Car" (so not sure a bunch of Skodas would slip into that one) and a dedicated "Mini World" day for the original Issigonis Mini.

There are other events like Trax and GTI International where we have had stands and track time in the past but as said above getting a half decent turn out seems a struggle sometimes.

We did have a pretty good Briskoda attendence at a couple of track days back in 2009 (10 and 5 trackers respectively) but the extra expense (after the cost of the day) is quite high to do a whole day you consider the need for second wheels and tyres, more wear on brakes etc

I think that why the 15 minutes sessions at Combe sell so well because it's not really enough to need to worry about all that.

If you are after whole days though I use trackdays.co.uk

To keep track of whats avaialble.

I'm looking forward to hoepfully getting a winter track day in before the end of the year
