Matthew , I agree , but in many cases they are not actually female  .....................and I think this is another..................but I'm happy to be proved wrong ;)

We welcome all newbies - especially those on their *third* skoda!

:bigcrowd:

Hi and welcome!

good choice of car; estate as well built as they come (unfortunately you had reason to prove it) and carries loads.

I think I'm correct in saying that you're the only Briskodian who has owned both 4x4 and a RS estate; may proved insightful.;)

Oh.....and don't mind Denis; no one else does.:D

Cheers.

Adrian.

Hi and welcome to Briskoda from another Magic Black vRS Estate owner :D .

Darren

Darren, are you, perchance, an undertaker? ;)

:D

Not an undertaker but work at a Hospital, hence seeing many private ambulances with the blacked out windows (many silver and black estate cars) so not sure if I should tint mine or not  .

JaneC has been spotted twice (not difficult given how slow she drives!), although one was contrived (we both sometimes drive the same route into Colchester in the mornings) :D

daveclar - how to you cross to Belfast from North Wales? Taking car? Via Holyhead, Liverpool or Scotland?

What model of Fabia? 1.4, 16V , TDIi etc?

Valerie,

It's been a while but going via Holyhead brings you to Dun Laioghaire (excuse my spelling, pronounced Dun Leery) which leaves about a 100 mile journey up to Belfast.

Going via Liverpool should take you right into Belfast as would via Stranraer. Crossing via Stranraer is about 1:50; Liverpool overnight; Holyhead about 5-6 hours.

Hope this helps - if anyone has more up to date info then feel free to correct me.

Holyhead - Dun Laoghaire is fast ferry and takes just under two hours.

Holyhead - Dublin fast ferry is two hours, conventional ferry about 3.5 hours

Liverpool - Belfast is overnight, and some day sailings (7-8 hours)

Stranraer - Belfast 1:50 is fast ferry; conventional about 3:30

Also Cairnryan-Larne, Troon-Larne, Troon-Belfast all fairly quick crossings

Liverpool - Dublin and Fleetwood-Larne overnight

Liverpool - Dublin fast ferry about four hours

Think that's the lot apart from the South Wales ones.

Zooty (done most of 'em!)

Try doing Swansea to Cork ferry - flippin nightmare crossing. Ferry was slow, weather was rubbish, and it took 16 hours! Worth it for the taste of proper Guinness though :dtp:

Oh yeah, Mostyn - Dublin for those of you in North Wales. Long/overnight crossing and will cease running later in the year.

God this is just too easy.

:D

Des

Not quite everybody fell for it Des :D

Valerie.Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire probably the best option. Don't now about prices though. Don't forget some
