Rally Green Vrs

Featured Replies

I've got an ex demo '10 plate Rally Green Vrs. It hasn't got the black roof like I wanted but eh. A mate of mine does wrapping and he's pretty good at it. He's offered me matt black (£100), gloss black (£80) or carbon fibre effect (£120) for the roof and spoiler. Opinions please.....

go for matt black

makes a change from the normal gloss

i find carbon effect a bit chavvy

Gloss black, i think matt will look strange with the gloss black pillars

Gloss..Spoiler too?

Yeh I wish in restrospect I'd gone for a black roof. In two minds about the carbon fibre effect though

if you dont mind me asking how much did you pay and mileage the reason I ask is I would have liked to trade mine in but was only offered £10.150 for a 60 plate black roof and wheels vrs mileage was 2286 under 3k.

has anyone got experience of this wrapping? does it last or will it bubble/crack in 2 years time?

im tempted now ive seen a white car in the flesh (like mine will be) but once made its too late for the factory paint job, so the choices are wrapping, body shop paint or leave as is

i've kept my last car 7 years (and counting, bloody Slowda) so whatever i decide id like some assurance it should last

Gloss black all day long.... im just in the process of having my vRS wrapped :) will look good ones completed

One of the guys at Evo magazine got his brand new Nissan GTR wrapped, and kept it on for a year. When he got it removed after the year there was no problems with it at all.

Carbon would be different.

At the end of the day your choice.

Good lUck

I bought it last Dec for £14k with 400 miles on the clock.....

Gloss black. Carbon looks alright in bits but not a whole roof. Matt will look daft with the glossy pillars I reckon (as said above)

I'd like to do mine but from a previous post about declaring it as a modification on your insurance has put me off somewhat, as it would cost £250+vat for just the wrap..

My wife works for an insurance company. She's says it doesn't usually make any difference to the premium as it doesn't add any more horses to the package. She also says it's worth asking your provider anyway.....

It did cost me more on my insurance (Admiral) but only about £10 so hardly worth bothering about

It can effect your insurance premium although that does depend on the insurer/underwriter and the driver. Although when I spoke to Lloyds they told me it won't effect mine if O decide to wrap the roof.

Just for info...AXA will not cover a roof wrap :'(

I think a Green vRS with a glossy Carbon Roof would look very good. B)

However, as mentioned above, some insurance companies would class it as a modification.
