Introducing myself properly...

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I've been posting on here for a while, but have never really introduced myself or the car properly, which ive had for about 3 months now. I spent about 3 hours last night on the car, washing it, hoovering it out, cleaning windows, dressing interior trim, exterior trim and tyres, polished the exhaust trim and then hand applied a coat of Super Resin Polish to the bodywork. I would have waxed it but was running out of light, and i think SWMBO would have gone mad by this time.

Anyways, by the time id finished the car looked even more tip top than usual (it gets a wash etc. every week). Although im not big into "detailing" or anything, im starting to think of it as being a bit like fishing or golf, i can see how others would think 3 hours spent cleaning a car would seem very sad and boring, but i find it hugely relaxing. Knackered when i was done too - was almost too much like exercise!

Car is running like a dream, only plans left for it now are to get some brighter headlight and mainbeam bulbs and then replace the SKODA badges front and back after the winter has been and gone (some water blemishes on the existing ones)

Anyways, onto the pics, excuse the quality as they were taken on the phone:

Cheers all
