Morning all.

Before I decide to shell out on taking it to a garage figured i'd ask the experts.

I've a Fabia Estate 04 reg. Now done 160k, hoping i'll get another 100k!!

Anyhows Glow plug started to flash and a day later ESP light came on.

Read up on here common faults and have after noticing brake lights out have replaced the brake light switch.

This has now taken off the ESP fault but Glow plug fault still flashing and brake lights still not working!

I have switched one of my brake lights with a backlight and the bulbs okay!

Anybody got any other advice? will be gratefully received.

Was the pedal switch fitted at the dealers? There is a specific way to fit/set them up, if not done right it can wreck the new switch!

Was the brake light switch actually faulty?

The flashing glow plug light can mean a number of things, faulty brake lights is just one of them, you really need the car scanned by either a VCDS owner, independent specialist or a dealer to pinpoint the problem.
