Super low mile vRS on ebay

Featured Replies

lol,

I wouldnt touch it, with that kind of miles on it for a 10 yr old car its just been on short trips so never run correctly, the wear isprob same as a 100k car.

Thats similar toy Lloyds lol, his is lower I think but we all know his one. I dont understand why you would only have that many miles on a car that old, why have it?

Billy

£3K max I would say

prob still the original tyres too lol

I would never buy it, as you said all short runs but just seems strange to have so little miles on it.

mate of mine has just bought there red vrs, picks it up sunday

Who says its done short trips ? It might be used as a second car . My dad has got a VRS and it comes out once in a blue moon . They use my mums car more and his when he feels like it . If its been looked after then whats to worry about ?

I paid £4,200 for mine 3 years back with 39k on the clock and on a Y-reg and at the time they was all going for around that price with double he miles .

picked mine up a few months ago for £1400 130k on the clock so far ive changed a coil pack and oil breather pipe . carried out a full servie new disks and pads all round , currently looking at coilovers cars pretty clean oh yeah yellow ftw!

And if I'm correct, it's down as an Ambiente TDi on the logbook and HPI checks etc

Hey :smirk: my octy is just dandy lol

50 miles short of 15k now, comes out most days now too.... Ish :giggle: i wouldnt class it as short steady runs tho ;)

Although i do go by years not miles, i change bits as i would if had lots of miles, i had the cambelt and water pump done at about 12k,

Also i feel that its been known on brisk for nearly all of its miles

Either way it amuses me :)

I bought a yellow one dirt cheap with 110k so fat full service.and breathers n wheels because tyres was knackered. Coil packs was done on recall. N apart from me hitting a deer its almost immaculate

And even then when u sneak them out some uninsured **** scars them :'( ******s !!!!!

No way is that a 26K car, look at the sagging and creased leather of the drivers seat, and the filthy engine bay especially the grime on the master cylinder.

I would say closer to 126K and I wouldn't be surprised to find little tell tales around the car of previous police ownership :wonder: .

Dubbers Sports VW's don't hold the best rep round Huddersfield....Have been up there a few times. My mate bought a car from them and within 7 miles it had cut out and broken. They took it back and miraculously it had been fixed in an hour. Have a feeling they bodged the immobiliser.

My guess is that isn't all its cracked up to be.

On the Ambiente TDI front, my mate bought his VRS and it too was coming back an Ambiente TDI on the logbook, obviously it was registered wrong to start with as when i lifted the bonnet the Petrol engine underneath was a dead give away. Suprised two have had the same done to them!

Most of the early Police VRS cars were registered as Ambiente TDI's. They had a job lot probably registered and DVLA were obviously not clud up at checking. So this is a genuine error. Mine had the same till I changed it.

i bought my VRS from dubbers, it has 103000 on the clock on 51 plate, got it for 2000, its in good cndition FSH etc and i have no issues with it

i have seen the car listed on ebay and i thinkhe just uses generic pictures though for all listings

Mines got a little bit of wear on the drovers seat, where u get in and out ... I just put it down to the joys of sports seats

:'(

I treat it with leather care too but its still abit worn :smirk: when i say worn i mean not as tight as say the center console side or the back seat :)

Maybe its just a drive decoration  maybe they didnt just do them in red :p

Has anyone been to nose at it?

It does say fsh tho ???

Some car run more then 1 car :-)

Thay only come out at the weekends for fun and by doing so have very low Mil on they.

My car was that old when i go it and have 35k on it.

Has never let me down yet and it had its big test last yrs when all that snow hit scotland and run fine :-)

Lol at the comments on here....

Don't buy it because its low mileage and has done short trips??????

Looks a cracking car to me!

Not just police, when I bought my old vRS brand new back in 2001 it came back as Ambiente TDi on the logbook. It was quiet common back then across the board not just police. I did sent mine back the the DVLA and have it corrected though.

Went to see another vrs that they are selling today 03 65k £2993 full test and tax, very smooth motor but very untidy body work. Which i wish he had told me as i travelled 100miles to see it quit a few deep long scratches along passenger side and roof, front grill smashed deep gash on both side skirts. I was expecting age related marks but not this many.

If somebody wasn't as fussy on body work as me and had a couple of £££ to spend getting the body work done it would be a nice low mileage motor.

I give it a miss and walked away.

Eh!? Them seats look fine on my screen and you want to see mine engine bay!

Looks a nice example to me, I would gladly buy that if I was wanting a vrs, but I'm a diesel fan now so never mind. :)

My 53plate has just rolled round to 29,000! I walk to work and only drive to my dads (20 miles) 2 times a month and my sisters (100 miles) once a month so it's not gonna go up much....

There are old cars with low miles and (in my case) in mint! Condition out there don't be so sceptical without seeing it...
