Does anyone know if the 6speed box off tt's and lcr's etc will fit on the mk1 vrs as a replacement i wouldnt mind a 6speed mk 1 any advice?

Yes, they fit with a lot of messing around and expense! Speaking from first hand experience as I did mine nearly 6 years ago.

Ratios (1-5) would be shorter, and 6th would be the same as your existing 5th if you had the petrol 6 speeder.

Do you need one or do you like the idea of it being 6 speed? If the latter, just don't bother!!!

Sounds a bit of a waste of time then mate if its only really gonna benefit on acceleration its quick enough.. i may need a box or a recon in the near future i have a bit of a whine in 4th and 5th but did like the idea of a 6speed mk1 ovtavia vrs
