To make a long story short, I signed up for a Peugeot 508 SW GT in april and they called me about a week ago and told me that expected delivery date was in January 2012. I was promised to have the car in late July... I cancelled the order since I need a bigger car now and not next year.

So I just came back from the skoda dealer after signing the papers.

Just have to wait for about a week before I can go and pick up my new car.

Price came down to about ~32K Euro. The car was a stock order so I got a few things that I don't really need.

Specs:

Skoda Superb Estate Elegance TDI 170 DSG

Added equipment

-Platinum gray metallic(not sure if this is the "international" name of the color)

-Diesel heater with remote

-"Business package" (Bolero stereo, BT connection, Sunset, Parking sensors front and back with aut. parking)

-17" rims "Trifid"

-Winter tires

I'll come back with some pics and a review as soon as I get it.

It seems a good deal, it is a good car, and the winter tyres should come in useful in your Scandinavian sun. Enjoy it and post the photo's.

I think it's a dealer option. We never talked about it he just specified it on the offer.

What's with the "business package" though? Are Scandanavian specs different to the UK?

In the UK the Elegance comes with the Columbus sat nav and BT as standard

Parking sensors at the rear are standard too, but not front sensors or Park Assist (I assume that's what you mean by aut. parking)

The swedish Elegance is not as well specced as the UK. Leather, Columbus and BT is not standard. We buy the Business Package to get it up to same spec.

Though we do have heated seats in the back as standard, i don't believe that is the case in UK.

Elegance is a little cheaper in sweden also, so i guess we end up with the same price at the end .

Oh.. on a note, Elegance is different in most countries (Though not that much). For an example heated rear seats is maybe not that necessary in italien or spanish models

So, picked up my car yesterday and i'm very satisfied. Beautiful looks, drives like a charm and enough feature and equipment to make anyone jealous. Only con is that it is a bit noisier than my former car (BMW320 Touring). Other than that, great car!

Pics are taken with my cell so the quality is a bit crappy and tha colours doesn't really do the car justice!

Cell phone or not they're good images. Looks good to me.
