Octavia 1.6 CR 4x4 Questions

Featured Replies

I would have words with the fleet manager as she obviouly know nothing.

Winter tyres are speed rated, are approved by the manufacturer and wont affect your insurance.

look in the owners manual and Skoda recommend fitting them at temps below 7 degrees and do allow a lower speed rating.

I run a 1.8 TSi which should have V rated tyres but ran H rated winter tyres last year as no one had V rated.

But had no problems with them as there was no way I was going to sit constantly at speed over 130 mph.

I would go for a Yeti for the ground clearance and the 4x4.

I run a company car as well and I think next year it will be a double cab pick up as my budget wont go to a yeti.

Yeti has ground clearance of 18cm, Octavia 14cm and same 4x4. One looks like a normal car, the other like a barn door from behind and a toy up front and has no boot with spare on.

Delivery may be the issue, some Skoda 4x4 models are in demand & on a very very long delivery

Delivery may not be too bad now! I ordered 1st of July a 2.0 CR DSG 4X4 and picked it up on 15th Sept.

It replaced a 1.9 manual 4X4 both are excelent but the 2.0 DSG is spot on.
