Skoda Octavia RS 1.8T 2004

Full 12 months MOT.

Tax due 01/11/2011 Now with 6mths tax.

116000 miles (but very well maintained) This car started life as a rep’s car and was used mainly on the motorways clocking up the miles. I am the 6th registered keeper.

The standard spec of this car is excellent and it includes the rare and expensive factory options such as the electric sunroof, gas discharge xenon headlights, the double din MFD sat nav/stereo system which has the 6 cd player in the boot and reversing sensors. Everything works A1. If you want to get the full use of the sat nav you may want to get an update disc but the one installed now provides plenty and works fine.

I bought this car from a fellow briskoda member and it has had quite a few modifications. I am in two minds as to strip the mods and sell them or sell the car whole. It would be a shame to strip the mods as the set up works really well and someone has gone to a lot of trouble to make the car what it is. The previous owner stated that the car was producing around 240bhp but I do not have any paperwork to support this. I can say that this is a really REALLY quick car and handles very well.

List of mods below:

- Miltek s/s 100cell cat

- Full s/s exhaust

- Forge 007p dump valve

- Big cold air induction kit with a K&N big filter that relocates the filter in bumper.

- Polished inlet

- Up rated vac pipes in red that are under the inlet

- Up rated red pipes on turbo and outlet plus the other 2 leading to the tip

- Fully adjustable coilover suspension

- Cupra R front spillter

- Boost gauge in pod on pillar in psi

- Excellent condition (not a mark on them) diamond cut 18" RS8 alloy wheels With excellent tyres

- n75j valve

- Up rated blue claw pipe

- 4bar fuel regulator

Standard spec:

- Half leather seats. Just cleaned and leather treated with Gliptone cleaner & conditioner

- Full set of vRS mats

- Electric windows all round

- Electric / heated mirrors

- Electric tilt and slide sunroof

- 6 CD changer located in boot

- Radio Navigation System MFD, fully working

- ABS / EBC / ESP

- Climate control which blows ice cold.

- Airbags - steering wheel, front passenger dashboard, outer side of front seats

- Cup holder (fully working) in centre console

- Gas discharge (xenon) headlights

- Reversing sensors

Service history:

- Service book complete with 9 Skoda Service stamps last one being at 81958 miles on 16/10 2007. The car has then been in the hands of owners club members and I’m led to believe it’s been regularly serviced since. Last service being May 2011.

- The car had a bottom end rebuild nearly 2 years ago due to a blocked oil pick up pipe which was repaired under garage/dealer warranty

- New windscreen in May 2011

- Major service done at around 95k including new clutch, timing belt, water pump, suspension arms and track rod ends

- New "red stuff" rear brake pads 04/08/2011

So why am I selling this car? Well I bought it as needed a bigger car having had a child. I didn’t want to sell out completely and go for a people carrier so looked into large family hatchbacks. Having researched the market I decided on an Octavia VRS / RS. Owner’s clubs being the best place to look I found this one, viewed it, drove and bought it simples! Basically It’s a great car, loads of room and I’ll prob end up buying another one, a standard one to keep the misses happy as it is the family car - she not too keen on all the mods??? I should mention that there are a few stone chips and couple of marks here and there.

Price held at £3000 for quick sale. No offers, I'm virtually giving it away!

I am aware there are plenty more VRS’ out there and most are cheaper with this millage but I’ve not seen one with the standard spec including the sunroof, headlights and MFD or with all the mods this one’s got.

You are more than welcome to come and view. To drive you will need to bring proof of insurance (allowed to drive other cars) and full driving licence. I will not entertain test pilots.

PM me for more info/ photos.

Thanks. Yeah, the car has really grown on me but just not the misses.

Just been to fuel up and worked out my average mpg on full tank - 34.4mpg. Thats on a general mixture of driving styles. On a duel-carriagway run the on board computer shows 44mpg, but I don't know how accurate that is hence why I worked it out myself on a full tank of fuel.

Pity this is up now i would have snapped your arm off if it was nearer november

Hi. Thanks for your comments.

I'm in no great rush to sell. It's a firm £3250 and you never know, it may still be available nearer November. Alternatively, come and have a look, I'd be happy to take a deposit and we could talk about a sale date.

Car is also on ebay but Briskoda price includes an owners club discount

i may have to do that where abouts you based im in wrexham at the mo

Where am I going wrong with this guys? :S

Was hoping it would have gone by insurance renewal as they charge stupid admin fees for changing car details half way through a policy.

Last chance to grab this now before I break her. Will start new thread on 'parts for sale' will full list of parts available. Cant believe it's come to breaking but it's worth more than £3000 in mods alone!

cars aint selling well these don't seem to be! i've still got mine after 4 weeks of trying to sell

It's coming up to Christmas guys, that could be why you are struggling. It's a tight time for many, myself - 1 thing I'm going to miss about this country is Skoda. Don't even exist in Canada... so want a Mk I Fabia VRS!

give you £2400 :DB)

give you £2400 :DB)

Thank you for your offer which I must decline. Sorry.

I've done some research and a few days with my toolkit and I can make well over £3000 by stripping the mods / factory fitted extras, then selling whats left of the car.

Any offer would need to be much closer to the £3000 mark.

Thank you anyway.
