knocking on gear change and over certain bumps

so when i change gear a get a knocking from the front left corner of the car, someone will have had this but whats the obvious? gearbox mount?

Dogbone mount, or LH engine mount.

that is what i was thinking

I'd probably be more inclined to say left hand engine mount than dogbone - but could be both... dogbone going which is allowing more flex causing the left hand to knock...

i supose that other than changing them out is there any reall way of telling if they are loose?

would a simple test of trying to move the engine around show me if its going?

To be fair when revving the engine if the engine moves a fair bit, then suspect that they're loose.

The dogbone can be taken off and inspected easily enough - 2 bolts.

Could also be arb bushes....or console bush.....or drop links as these make noises in the front of the car then changing gear, going over bumps etc......just do a search in th Fabia forum...well known problem!!! B)
