London to Nijmegen (Holland) via Dover/Calais and Brugge.

Then same route back week later.

Can't remember total distance.... but it needed quite a bit of fuel!!! Damn good motorways over there i must say.

London - Liverpool and back in a day.

or to Brugge and back

or to belgium border- LeTourquet - Bolougne - Calais and back

I drove my Octy down the shops last week. we went to Elizabeth Duke, Jack Fulton's, Poundstracher then all the way to Matalan on the retail park!

I bet the Staines leg was the real slog of the journey

On a 2 week holiday, I drove from Manchester to Prague, via Hull to Zeebrugge, then onto Frankfurt to Prague and returning via Salzburg Austria, back to Frankfurt and them home. All in all 2500 miles, average mpg 52.5 to the gallon on various roads including autobahn cruising at 100mph. Octavia TDI didn't miss a beat.

In July, will be driving from near Edinburgh, to Newcastle, on ferry to Gothenburg, across Sweden, ferry again to Helsinki from Stockholm then onto St Petersburg in Russia. Quite an adventure, but looking forward to it tremendously. There's a Skoda dealer in St Petersburg one minute's walk from my in-laws, who we are visiting, so no doubt they'll be interested to see a "Scottish" Octavia there!!
