Can any of the Irish lads recommend any good tuning companies that have experience in tuning and DPF delete of the new common rail diesels. I'm hoping to change my Octy for a new Superb in 2012 (CR140 or CR170) I would be willing to travel over to Shark Performance but when you factor in the Ferry and a night in a Hotel it would work out very pricey.

All suggestions welcome !!

I take it you couldn't make use of the STS kit Shark sell? Not sure about the DPF though

Auto-Tune in Ballymena Northern Ireland know their stuff do everything on the road inc lorries and write their own custom maps and will tailor them to your needs they did both of my VRS's first one £100 off Jan sale they had on and 2nd one £100 off as a return customer! They are 150 odd miles each way for you and thats a great distance and mix of roads to enjoy the new drive back!

They will give you a full service read for error codes initial run on rolling road then map time and will let you go away and test it until your happy and tweak the map to meet what your looking for like any good company will do. My Fabia VRS had about 7 or 8 runs on rolling road no effect on price. Steve and Ryan in there know everything about everything with wheels and are decent honest businessmen.

There are a fair few in NI inc someone in Cookstown that does REVO maps you can find them via REVO site but it would be a good bit more expensive! I had my 2011 Octavia VRS done in Auto-Tune and at 3 weeks old I was more than happy to trust them to get grinder out to remove my ECU as the new ones have to be bench mapped since around Oct 2010, they did a fantastic job put all back together another run on rolling road then off I went week later I wanted some tweaks on map came back and done no charge meant taking all apart again and they stock VAG security screws to put ECU back in properly not with old ones that someone had ground a slot into that's a great finishing touch!

Thanks for the reply, but the car will be new and I don't think the new ECU's can be flashed through the OBD port, they are encrypted.
