Hand throttle for servicing?

I need to bleed the cooling system on my Furby vRS. This involves controlling a bleed screw whilst the engine is run at about 2000 rpm. If I'm by myself, I clearly can't press the accelerator and work under the bonnet at the same time.

Am I right in thinking I can't use my cruise control to hold steady revs whilst in neutral?

Anybody got any suggestions? Have I missed something obvious like a throttle linkage I can jiggle from under the bonnet?

Hello, I have a SS II 2014 Combi 2014 engine 2.0 170 HP. The car comes from the factory equipped with an electric tailgate on the trunk, but the old owner changed the electric telescopes with simple ones. Now I want to reinstall the electric ones like the car was at the beginning. The tailgate has a soft close, the button on the tailgate works the same as the button next to the DSG shifter. Please tell me how to proceed, what to do, what to buy to fix this situation. If anyone managed to fix it

How do you drive an EV for best efficiency?

It may be a conceit, but I believe I have a reasonable idea on how to get good mpg from an ICE vehicle, especially around our urban environment and without breaking laws. I don't hyper-mile or drive slowly or do anything to annoy other drivers, I just allow a couple of extra metres and anticipate traffic conditions. I'm also aware that there is a difference in best economy and best efficiency of an ICE engine. I've got no real experience with EVs other than the occasional drive, but I am intere

This is a follow up to a previous question I posed recently. I had a 2008 vRS for over 12 years and really loved it before moving on to something different. Looking to getting back into vRS ownership again and toying with the idea of finding one with the 4x4 drive train. If anyone has been able to compare the two, is there a noticeable improvement in road handling with this variant? Thanks

Hello! First post here... I'm currently driving a 2025 SE and I find the brakes absolutely awful. There seems to be varying levels of what I can only describe as servo pushback from the pedal meaning that in order to get it to brake anywhere near smoothly I need to try and modulate the pressure applied to the pedal to match the pushback. It's most odd, and not something I've experienced in any other car. When the pedal is pushing back against my foot it's as if the brakes are not being applied
