Thanks mate, I hope it does!

I'll try and give it a good run tomorrow evening :)

Top work as always Leon.

It looks awesome  Just like it should have looked from Skoda in the first place.

Thanks mate! :D yes it does!! haha just gotta wait and save for some new additions...maybe in a few months though... Seeing Danny P on Monday to paint some calipers green :D

Just right - follows the arches nicely and as you stated it will drop slightly further after use.

looking very good mate, although I have found mine has done the opposite and actually gone up since the suspension was fitted! Might have to wind them down some more.

Thank you! :D

Have you cranked yours up?

Not bad, I expected more lows from a 55/40 drop though - looking at some vRS models with 40mm drops they are really low.

Much better - and yes, it'll settle a bit more as well :)

I thought that, but looking at the previous pics, of the front arch it has lowered it, however I was thinking the same as you.... As Steve said, it'll need to settle, and then I recon it'll look good. my Koni's took a little while to settle too, and that was a 40 mm drop too..

Previous before the drop....

MY previous Fabia with a 40mm drop all round...

Yeah, I'm not sure what I want to do with the headlights!

As for the long drive we are all going for a carvery today :) so that 3 people with a full belly at least!! :D

little motorwar review...

wow, it's much more stable at high speeds, goes round bends without feeling you you should ease off.

As for my mpg it's actually increased 3-4mpg in total... so my run back driving fairly briskly hehe... was a round 63mpg...!

overall best mod for your bucks money can buy if your on a budget! :D

roundabouts, ring roads, darting between lanes, s bends, loads more fun!!

I was wondering that is it really an anti roll bar link or would it be a drop link?

it only makes a clonking noise on the driver side... I read the box, and the springs are 60/40 drop but the shocks are definitely bedding in slowly!

You should have taken measurements before and after :)

The drop link is what will be knocking - some new shocks/struts move the position the drop link attatches to making it lower, hence needing shorter ones. AP/KW and Weitec keep the position the same meaning you can use original drop links.

Hey Ad, thanks for the heads up!

It was about a 5" gap before, so I'll take another measurement shortly!

is that why some people replace them with Mondeo ones? I don't know much about this... on my previous car it was fine so I guess anything lower than 50mm needs to change some links?

will it do any harm for the next couple of weeks? it seems to have settled out a little and not as clunky but on some other roads its noticeable!

I'll go and take a measurement late today :)

Thanks,

Leon

No worries - been there done that with previous cars :)

Oddly enough they were FK coilovers that needed shorter drop links...

Just get uprated ones, FK sell some lol

I think from memory it catches on the arch liner, you may see a mark on it, we trimmed mine and got shorter ones (car was Ibiza FR TDI) I don't think its low enough to be sub-frame/antiroll bar knocks.

I'll keep my eye open for some, lately it's stopped making a clunking noise for some reason!?

Had a look when I took the wheels off the front and I couldn't see anything dodgy...hmmm

Thanks for the help though! :D

Thanks Matt, I like the green, brings back the old Skoda theme before they decided it was too expensive to keep making the green paint!

Yeah, I think it will! :D

I just need a few days where I don't need to use the car, so I know I can do a proper un rushed job!

Nah just buy another pair of headlights and keep the originals. You then spend a couple of hours removing/installing and that's it. Remember the originals I was not able to open them up. Test before you do on a broken one as I did to make sure - I was defeated. :( Depos on the other hand are completely different story.

If it is too much for you you could always go down the tint film route which looks great as well.
