Yeah, I'll lower it 40mm?

I don't want to go too low, my old one struggled when I had too much in the boot! :(

yes, i think 40mm will be good :) ive just bought the FK AKX suspension kit as i am on a tight budget. They lower 55mm in front and 40mm in the rear. (http://www.carparts-tuning.co.uk/en/Suspension-Tuning/Sport-Suspension/Sports-suspension-AKX-55-40-mm-fit-for-Skoda-Fabia-5J-Yr-07.html)

I havent fitted it yet, but i belive i will be doing so next week.

If u want i can write a ''review'' of them.

I didnt mean to offend u with my earlier comment, soo if u where, im sorry =/ u have a nice looking car, but i think it would be even better with some lowering! :)

Ooo their a good price Joten!

You can be the two parts of the grille separately so you could just buy the bottom grille in black( Monte carlo) and then paint the top one

  • Author

Think the Montey has a different shaped grill sadly, it will be a Fabia base spec jobby I think! :)

Same grille, Trust me

Just checked with a mate in parts , they are the same, and it is grille, grill is to cook with heat

Different shape!

if you lower it 40mm will you need to get the camber adjusted and is it even possible to adjust rear camber?I am struggling to find a spring/damper set with a max of 30mm drop.

  • Author

Why do I need to adjust the camber? I've never crossed that bit of modding before...

You might not need to adjust the camber,i was just asking if you would need to as i don't know.

I do know that some cars when lowered can cause uneven tyre wear, causing tyres to last half the time they should.

I lowered my last car(Mitsubishi)30mm and the tyre wear remained even so maybe the Fabia will be fine i guess it depends on how far you lower it?

Anyway i look forward to seeing your car when it's done its an interesting thread for me being a fellow Fabia 3 estate owner :)

do people who carry passengers all the time need to adjust the camber, if fully laden it's effectively the same as lowering in terms of camber isn't it.

Ooo their a good price Joten!

GOOO for it!! :D

They are TUV approved.

After lowering, you should really have your tracking/alignment/geometry done.

IF the camber needed adjusting (which 99% wont) you can get shims to adjust.
