Cheers buddy. Once I've sorted some funds, it'll probably be around June time, I'm training in London in march til June unpaid work experience so I've not gotta save! I'm lucky with selling my old alloys I break even with the costs of refuribing these one :)

Maybe I can find something to sell or do to make some spare cash! haha :D

I'm thinking 40/55 mm drop?

Sounds sensible mate and from my side lower the better but I am sure you will find a sensible compromise.......

the annoying thing with my old combi was that the rear wheels rubbed if I put anything heavy in the boot! I did have 10mm spacers on either side though :p

I'm not sure weather to go the coil over side, or just springs... :S

Looks funky that - I like

AGree on a drop though, makes my vRS look lowered :) - I know it is 15-20mm lower but even so!

lol... Is it that noticable compared to a standard rs?!

:p watch this space!

Not the best picture but you get the idea of a standard vRS suspension with 17's

mmmmm thats really nice!

I could fit a fist in yours, only three fingers in mine. No pun intended :giggle:

I really like that finish though! Can you do another set and sell them to vRSrob - he purchased my black car seen in the above pic with my new one :)

You've done a GREAT job there ! emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Anyone who has attempted to do this before (let alone such an intricate pattern) will admit just what a tough job this actually is. Great skills mate emoticon-0105-wink.gif

The car does need lowering though. Looks a bit 4x4

Masking it off was the tedious part! I've got to touch a little bit up and finish the silver inserts off as they still have some kerbing marks!

I was worried about it looking a bit naff, but I'm chuffed to bits!!

as for the 4x4 look! lol.... I was following a fabia Scout today and it looked lower than mine!! :D

Look good mate, might have gone for body colour rather than the lighter silver, would tie in better but then looking at wheels I've had recently its par for the course for me.

Needs lowering badly though ;)

Body colour sounds good! What wheels do you have to do then....can't be that bad with plenty of patience! :)

I want it low now!!!! :'( ..... I've just gotta wait, and I hate waiting! :giggle:

Oooo their nice!!!

jeese those s3 wheels must of been hard!!!

Even more so as the light colours can't be sprayed over the black, so you have to do them first.

  • Author

Top work tho mate, have you sold your Boca now?

Green crossed my mind too!

Yeah sold the Boca a year ago now.

Ahh so is it just the fabia for now with a few more tricks up your sleeve? :)

Good result Leon - finish looks good emoticon-0148-yes.gif

I won't mention the thing about it needing to be nearer the ground though, oh no! :x

:D

I like those wheels. for trying something a little different.
