If my turbo had gone would my engine start? Car died suddenly today, the garage seemed to think it was the turbo but it seems strange that I won't start at all now. Has anyone seen this?

try taking the boost pipe off the egr valve and then start it up if it starts then turbo is likely to be blocked up and dead

I had the same symptoms on my car when the turbo went. Needed to take the fmic pipe off to get the towing eye on and the car started with this off.

When my turbo went the car would still run with boost pipes disconnected. . .Reason being,when it went it shot quite alot of oil into the intercooler. . so it couldn't breath.

Wont run if the turbo sized
