Time to buy a VRS

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've been lurking the forums for a while, waiting for the right time to buy a VRS. My 306 has given me a big kick up the arse this week so here goes...

I am looking for a low mileage example that will hopefully last me many years like the Pug.

One possibility I have seen is a cracking looking 2007 VRS SE, S24ALT. For sale near Worcester.

If anyone knows anything about S24ALT I would be very interested to know if it is hiding any secrets.

A Google search shows that cherished reg. S24ALT was previously on a 2006 VRS but thats all I can find. I don't know what number it is.

Cheers.

I too am In the same boat! Coming from a 306 HDI, Just looking for a VRS myself

Do you know what limited edition number the se is? There is a limited edition se register on here with all of the owners and number car. Might be worth a look :)

Welcome aboard :)

Its not specific to that car, but do an online MOT check. It will give any advisories and if it had any you can then make sure they were done.

Also I always judge how well a car has been looked after by what tyres it has. If they are random brand you can bet they also took shortcuts on everything else regarding the car.

If you're after low mileage there's a fantastic looking red one on eBay at the moment with 14k on it!! It's even had it's cambelt change too which a lot of people would have neglected to do with such low miles. It's nothing to do with me by the way before anyone says anything :) I just thought it looked a cracker when I was having a general nosey.

You need more than just the reg number to do an online mot check.

Yeah you need the number from the front of the registration document but any serious seller will give you it if you ask.
