Front fogs

Featured Replies

Right-

I doubt I'll use my fogs a lot and quite like the tinted lamin-x look. (if that's how it's spelt!)

I've seen some fog light covers, has anyone used these. Also I plan on tinting the covers not the actual fogs. This shouldn't be a problem should it?

Thanks

Fog light surrounds painted black and the fogs tinted with light smoke Lamin-x... Not sure if any of this applies to what your after.

Is it easy to take fog surrounds out? I like this look?

Thanks :)

Yep easy, the drivers side one just needs a tug and the whole surround will pop out without the fog attached.

Passenger side does pop out but needs a little bit of prising off due to it not being as vented as drivers side.

Once out, the bit that needs spraying clips apart from the rest of surround.

At the moment mine are yellow lamin x'd and

fly eyed at the same time. :D

TBH apart from recently at the trackday mine are never on.

If it's foggy I use the van or the SDI. :p

What do you mean by fly eyed?

Thanks :)

Never tried fly eyes. Done a few mates cars in Lamin-x and is tricky to work with.

Fogs are simple though.

Fly eyes is a doddle to use. You can literally screw

it up into a ball. Unscrew it again and use it. Idiot proof

and you get quite a lot for your money. It's cheap enough

to experiment with and it comes off again easily if you

change your mind.

Loads easier to get a uniform finish than lamin x and goes

round curves easier, impossible to get air bubbles.

Looks better from a distance though. Up close I've got

to say I think Lamin X looks better.

I've only put it on my fogs to try and hide the fact that

they are misted up LOL

Ive tried the perspex "additions" to the fogs and they look carp when on. Almost like someones stuck a bit of plastic on! Oh wait......

Ive also lamin-x my fogs with the subtle smoke variant
