In response to a thread I started last night Mad Driver and the other threads on the subject. Most of the VRS crowd were quietly amused that the Police BMW was seen off by an utter K&nob in a VRS.

Returning to work today I found out that the reason for the A46 at Bingham being shut on last Fri evening when I diverted through Melton Mowbray. The road closure was because a colleague had just been killed by burglars in a car trying to evade a police pursuit. My colleague was forcd off the road and died in the resulting collision. A very very sobering thought guys. Wrong time wrong place and maybe if they had backed off and called in air support the burglars may have slowed a tad. The A46 on a Friday is awful anyway.

Well done to any police driver who has the courage to back off when conditions get too dangerous.
