Got back to the car after shopping in Asda to find a substantial ding in the rear bumper. It looks like someone with a tow hitch had reversed into it. There's a prominent crease and dent, and the paint has flaked off.

Is it possible to smooth the crease out of the plastic? Can I apply heat and press it to go back to shape? Is not just a case of filling the dent, as the crease is standing proud of the usual profile, and I'd rather not cut it off and make an even worse hole if I can avaoid it.

Any thoughts, suggestions and experiences welcome.
