going to service my own car 19 tdi has any 1 changed the fuel filter everthing is straight forword enough car is out of warrenty now so ill do my own servicing

Do mine every year on the old Fabia VRS.

All straight forward stuff, remove pipes, change 2 little sealing rings (one is sometimes blue in colour)

out with old filter in with the new, slap it all back together.

Crank engine over a few times (without having to bleed fuel system), engine eventually starts up and settles down quickly.
