Front anti-roll bar

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

My front anti-roll bar needs to be replaced and I'm thinking of getting an upgraded one. Any advise which one i should go for?

What do you have ?any pictures?does it improve handling?

Appreciate any help.Thanks

Yes there is one an eibech one which I run on my vrs if i am right its that one or a whiteline. I could tell straight away but i also use a omp front upper strut brace too.

I think eibach would be the most obvious upgrade choice fella. Ive heard a few people mention that they get a little more understeer tho. Might be worth doing a quick google search to see what comes up

Cheers...

That's what I heard they will be pulling. So why they make them in the first place?I thought they might improve the handling.

Yer you would think an uprated part would. I think the standard ARB on the vRS is pretty good anyway. And certain cars respond better to certain tuning. For example a panda 100hp which is a f***** gem of a car. An uprated rarb has a negative effect and makes it rather skitty. As the little thing is planted like s*** on a workmens boot in standard form, its better left standard.

Its rather hard as well, because you will only know what effect an eibach front arb will have on your vRS when you have baught and fitted it. By then its a bit to late.

Wua-might just stick with the original then :)

I was about to add as well buddy, If the standard arb is more expensive than the ebiach then why not go for the eibach and take a punt. But if its cheaper as you said, the original might be the way to go.

As im sure you will read the rear anti roll bar tho, will make a nice diffrence to the cars behaviour

I already have the Jabba rear ARB

i was under the impression you only fitted an uprated front anti roll bar when the back has been stiffed up with a rear one?

In which case whiteline might be the one to go for as it's adjustable. According to their blurb it's 20% or 44% stiffer than a 21mm bar. Obviously though, that's THEIR 21mm bar, not a VRS's. So it's a bit of a partially informed guess.

Other than that apparently there's an Ibiza Cupra one which is bigger plus I've read there's a VW Polo GTI one, plus an Eibach one. The OEM ones "should" be cheaper. ISTR the Fabia VRS one was arounf the £60-£70 mark a few years ago...

Whiteline one seems to be £155+. Not a lot of discounting going on there apparently.

According to TPS fabia vrs and cupra FARB are both 20mm?

I always thought the fabia had a 20mm. Ibiza sport/fr owners use to use it as an upgrade. Then the Cupar came along with a 20mm also.
