DELIVERY TIME - HOW LONG IS TRANSIT?

Featured Replies

Finally, my new Yeti Elegance has now been built! Petrol 1.8 TSi with panaramic sunroof, and various other extras. Problem is I cannot get a consistant answer on how long it waill take to arrive at dealers. Dealer says 2 weeks, last week Skoda said allow circa 3 weeks from build week, yesterday man at Skoda said allow 3 to 4 weeks! Can any one give me an idea based on experience? Thanks

Afraid it is a how longs a 'piece of string' answer; as a rule 3 weeks is the average I believe.

Depends very much on when she arrives at the port of Emden (Northern Germany) and the port of entry and how many other cars are waiting in the cue. Grimsby when I last looked appeared to be getting shipments every couple of days or so, were Sheerness was once a week.

Be worth the wait :)

Hi, difficult to say really as everyone's case seems to be different. In my case, my Elegance was built in week 38 (Week Commencing 19/9/11) and I collected it from my dealer on 6/10/11. Trust me though, it will definitely be worth the wait :)

Hi Ben emoticon-0148-yes.gif from a previous "post" of mine:

Hi. This does not really answer your question..............BUT (just in case you find it helps the waiting game) Here is "Tigger's" story

Tigger is a Brilliant Silver Metalic 1.2 SE DSG Yeti who can park all by himself!!!.................

  • Tigger ordered - 21st of May 2010 (Week 20)
  • Despite dealer regularly checking for progress - No confirmed build date. Only - "projected week 33 " was ever shown.
  • 12:30hrs. Friday 20th of August 2010 - (Week 33) - Yet another call from dealer advising "Sorry! still no confirmed build date, still showing projected week 33 "
  • 15:30hrs. Friday 20th of August 2010 - (Yes the same day!) Called into the dealership on related matter - whilst I was there they checked again and it showed "BUILT" - Was told - " will not be long now, up to 3 weeks (ish), maybe less "
  • 08:30 hrs. Monday 23rd of August 2010 - Call from dealer - "Guess what I am looking at and have the keys in my hand for?" Tigger had arrived! emoticon-0100-smile.gif

They estimated that he was built around 14:00 hrs. in Kvasiny, and so it only took 66 hours from completion to delivery at the dealers............Wow! That's impressive by almost any standard, in my opinionemoticon-0148-yes.gif

The moral of the tale................Patience Buddy! NOT LONG NOW!!!!!! emoticon-0144-nod.gif

Have fun emotion-34.gif when it (He / She?) arrives...............Tony
