Vrs Mats

Featured Replies

Only been driving my Vrs for 600 miles so far and have already noticed the mat seems to be wearing from the heel of the right foot.

Just wondered if some of you guys who have had the car a bit longer could tell me if the gets worse? Is it worth using and old mat to keep the standard one nice?

Thanks

It does where down fairly quickly, but it doesnt progress much (7000 miles)

Good thing is you can order new ones induvidually

When I picked up my vRS, I immediately removed the front mats and replaced them with Skoda Fabia rubber mats (about

Would be good to find that out - I must say I prefer rubber mats for the same reason, will rip out the carpet ones very quickly to keep them clean (in case I want to sell off the car at some point perhaps)

Do you know how much for one mat?

I have carpet mats in mine and they're start to look well manky! :(

So, imminently the rubber mats from furby Mk1 (which incidentally haven't been in a car since you know what ;)) will be going in to my car. :D

mine did 35000 miles on same mats and i'd say good for another 35k. good quality mats. Tom.

I don't think you can buy one individual mat. They come in pairs; front pair, or back pair.

Standard Fabia rubber mats are shorter than the original carpet mats' date=' and they can't be secured to the floor. They have dimples on the back, so they grip the carpet, but are by no means perfect as they do tend to creep.

Interesting, my Fabia rubber mats supplied with the car are the same size as the vRS carpet ones and have a hole at the rear you can push out for attaching to the plastic clips on the floor to hold them in place. You can't use this and have the carpet mats fitted at the same time - one or the other.

The supplying dealer told me that Rubber Mats specifically for the vRS were not available, that's why I had the Standard Fabia ones fitted. The Standard mats look to be 3-4 inches shorter than the vRS carpet mats.

I have fitted standard rubber mats over the top of vrs cloths mats no problem.

just leave the back ones unsecure .............

I don't know that the floor pan changed but the shape of the mat did quite early on. Here are the numbers for the newer shaped ones -

Fabia vRS Carpet Mats

6Y2 864 436C 74C Drivers Side Front £15.36 Each

6Y2 864 435C 74C Passenger Side Front £15.26 Each

6Y2 864 452C 74C Drivers Side Rear £13.67 Each

6Y2 864 451C 74C Passenger Side Rear £13.67 Each

I have a cheap £5 set from Tesco. I'll put the vRs ones back in when the weather improves

Yes you can. I vaguely remember a thread on this. (StuVRs)?

Done 10,000 miles now, the mats look a bit worn, but a quick hoovering and,hey presto, as good as new, try it, it's a bit like combing your hair!

I managed to get a complete set of rubber mats free :) on the deal from my dealer

and have just laid them on top of the vRS carpets ..... keeps the originals clean

and dry in this manky weather:thumbup:

My vRS has done 31k miles (bought if off a mate last week) and the front mat is ar5ed, totally worn through at the heel point - I'm guessing he was heavied footed.

I've did 20k in the Golf and not a mark, 432k in my A3 and not a mark, so I think the vRS mats might also be a bit soft / thin as well.

Off the call the dealer to get a new set for the front!!!!!!

:)

Hi

I have done 15,000 miles o my mats at the moment and they still look good. The key with any fibre carpet is to clean it regularly. Grit cuts the fibres, so dirty wears out quickly. I take mine out and run them over with the Dyson once a week.

just bought a vrs le.

the car did not have any mats in the car but i have asked the dealer to fit some.

some of the vrs have the mats with a white boarder. should they have a vrs logo? i found the ptno.s and prices online but no pictures

what mats should have been fitted to an le. want to make sure the dealer fits proper vrs le ones and not just standard fabia ones. thanks dave

Hey dude, your vRS should have dark grey carpet mats with a white border and the vRS logo in the lower right corner on the front ones. I like the look of the vRS mats and wouldn't swap them for rubber ones.

How much does a full set cost?

See post #12, although they may have gone up in price in 3 years. Here is the new link www.Fabia-vrs.com/technical-info - Handy part numbers. I don't know if it has been updated with new prices.

Like others have said I vacuum mine and sometimes use AG Interior Cleaning spray on them when they get too muddy.
