Fabia VRS Heater Blower

Featured Replies

Hey all!

New to the forum after only buying my VRS a couple of weeks ago - so far loving all the advice and info and how the little VRS drives and feels! However currently have a problem with my heater blower unit, had it checked by a mate who's an autoelectrician and he's advised me that the blower motor has gone. Cars in for a big service and cambelt/waterpump today and also got a quote to replace the motor from them (@£120 for the part and £30 fitting) although doesn't look that hard to do?! So just wanted to post on here to see if anyone could recommend anywhere else to buy the motor from (best i've seen so far is ebay @ £87 - see link below). And are they hard to fit?

Thanks in advnace.

Dan

Most likely the motor if setting 4 doesn't work. Although fuse and resistor at the same time catches a few people out.

My blowers went on the civic. At first it would only work on full, then it started dying on 1-3 setting. Then all of them went, and no blowers at all. I replaced the resistor and i now have air.
