Sh** Happens

Featured Replies

I should have stayed in bed today!

Arranged to visit my mother (350mile round trip)and decided to use the motorbike.

Took the bike out of the garage and went into the house to pick up some items. Came out and the bike was lying on the drive, with helmet squashed between bike and drive. Will now require new helmet, panniers, handguards etc so around a £600 bill!! :'(

I was fortunate that further damage did not occur to the bike as it had something to break its fall - my poor Yeti.

The offside passenger door now has 2 sharp impact dents and a gouge in the side door protector.

I was feeling bad enough yesterday when I found damage to the drivers door - 6 inch crease through some thoughtless car dweller. I would not mind but that was in a public car car with around 30 empty bays all around the car and of course no obvious offending vehicle.

I feel :sick::sick::heartbreak:

Anyone know of any good body shops in the Coventry/Leicester. Think the damage may be too large for the Chips Away type operators.

Ouch.

Thats real bad luck.

Dent Devils are another franchised firm that deal with things a bit worse than Chips Away.

May be worth a try as they'll come and look for free?

Try Dent Technique. Colour Kit is also supposed to be very good too

emoticon-0101-sadsmile.gif nwil, thats gotta hurt.

I feel your pain, being a new Yeti (Greenline) owner and a bike rider (SV1000S) I completely understand how you must be feeling having damaged both.

It seems quite petty now when either myself or my girlfriend notice tiny tiny marks inside and out of our beautiful monster and stand there asking each other "where did that come from?" Oh well, thats the price we pay for living in the middle of nowhere down beautiful (muddy/gravely) cornish lanes.

Well, at least that explains the outside marks. emoticon-0143-smirk.gif

Dom.

Ouch, two toys damaged in one go.

I feel your pain.

As a fellow biker ( Tiger 1050 ) I hope you get it sorted without too much expense.

That's the thing with bikes which makes them so much fun... Inherently unstable :giggle:
