Hey! That's the new one? the rear lights are different. The 'white' is joined like a merc!

I got my Reg number and everything before my car is even at the dealer!! Feels a bit weird.

Mines a 54 and I too have the 'new' lights........very Merc.

You should get a pic with your old motor next too it - that would look very weird, with both of them having the same plate :P

Today is the day. The only slightly annoying thing is me the mrs and the kids are going to the dealer to pick the car up in my rental car. I am the only one insured on the rental, so my wife will be pioleting the Fabia on it's maiden voyage !

Oh dear, that is bad planning! :)

Never mind mate, I'm sure it'll be worth it once you get home. Nice day today as well, have fun :D

Take the rental back first, then get a cab to the Dealership

That way you have less messing about after you pick up the new toy & can just go out for a drive without having to worry about dropping the rental off :)

I could do, but i would have to faff around with the kids seats and the dealer is about 30+ miles away !!!

Ah, not so good an option then :)

Edit : What kind of kids seats d you have? Unfortunately the bit the seatbelts click into is not very far towards the center of the rear seat in the Furby, so my kids' booster seats don't fit :( My son is 7, so he's ok without one now, but my daughter is 4, so she still needs a seat. I'm trying to find one with a narrower 'bottom' so it fits in the seat properly. Major PITA :thumbdwn:

Oh sh** i never thought of that. It won't be our main family car, but perhaps i should have checked !?!? oops.

They have Britax seats, a TRIPLE seat and a Britax travel system !?!? Can't remember for sure. see pics lol.

Obviously in better colours ;)

I think you'll be ok with the big one, as the base is a bit smaller at the back, but the other one may not sit on the set very well. Aside from the seatbelt problem, the seats are slightly 'bucketed' too, so the base of the booster seats I have don't sit well :thumbdwn:

You could go on your own to pick it up, after dropping the rental off first.

or has SWMBO had a test drive as well and is now secretly s******ing that she gets first drive. :)

Well, my wife ended up driving the car back, which wasn't that bad, cause i got to look at it all the way back and it's "on road" presence. I had a great weekend drving around, got 250 miles from

Glad you are enjoying it.

The more miles you do the better it gets, SWMBO's now has over 5k on it and it's getting better all the time. I think I should get mine this week, the plates are on and the PDC fitted so it just needs a clean.

I'm glad you like it too

Just wonderin, do you mean you got it to **** the inside rear wheel when cornering? I only ask because im no grandad but i dont think i ever have in mine! TBH i thought the suspension travel was too great?

BTW like everyone says the engine is even better after 10,000 :)

I finally got to do some driving in my vrs this weekend. Picked it up last monday with 16,000 miles on it, so is nicely loosened up.

First impressions are great. I have owned alot of cars, and I am really happy with this one - more so than I can remember with just about any other purchase (with the odd exception). It just does it all so well. The ride is very comfortable for a small car, yet it handles really well. The performance is just so accessible - effortless. The interior although not to all tastes, is really well laid out and the seats are very comfortable. I have hardly used any fuel over the first 150 miles I have done !!

I have exactly the same worries about remapping. It goes so well without it I'm just not convinced it is the best thing to do.

Anyway - I have promised to keep this one for 2 years to my wife so I hope it carries on like this...
