well it fits if that's what you mean. Not used it myself, but apparently it's one of the better ones on the market and best brought with a cd changer so the sat nav disc is always in.

cool well i thought it may fit lol

it seems to be one of the best around from what i read too found it for just over 1200 so far

are you planning to fit it youself or is it being done proffesionally?

id fit it my self no point paying for something that easy done a few full installs before and lots of headunits and car kits in the dark while hung upside down lol

With the X1 (and the other sat nav/radio units) they don't just fit like othe HU's as they hook up to the some of the cars electrics (such as the speed pulse wire) to get some of the info needed for the sat nav to work properly.

I'm going to get one of these in about 6 months when my bank balance has recovered a bit :)

roo yeah i know it will be different and a **** load more wires but it wont be hard if takenslowly and thought about :)

from time to time on ebay you'll see them go for the

I've been watching them recently on eBay & I must say I've been very wary of some of the sellers. There seems to be some kind of scam going on.

What tends to happen is that 4 or 5 of the units will pop up within a couple of days of eachother, all with similar (but different) eBay accounts with no feedback, which have only been active for a couple of days. The accounts seem to be scattered all over the world too. eg American, Spain, France, UK etc.

Maybe I'm just being overly cautious, but something just doesn't look right.

I've seen it in a polo.

lf I was paying for something like this the last place I would go to is Ebay, no matter how cheap it was.

Each to their own, Ebay is a bargain for things like these. Especially from Powersellers who are part of squaretrade. You know they are genuine.

yeah, as the powersellers tend to sell for a more realistic price, I'll buy (and have brought) from them, but I was going more along the lines of the normal sellers where you are not covered (also, I will only use paypal for the same reason).

That's precisely why I haven't bought one yet :) I was waiting for a genuine-looking one for under

Did anyone ever install one of these units?

I have a JVC KD NX901 which is a sat nav head unit, and similar to the X1R, needs to be hooked up to the speed pulse. HOWEVER, when I was going to get this done on my old car (well, the one I have atm anyway), I was told by the bods at the ICE fitting place (Bass Junkies in Wolverhampton) that I'd need a CAN BUS adapter - something which was

they mean the hand brake mate, just connect it to the earth it the screen will work all the time. apparently

and the speed pulse is a single cable not two

Sounds quite a nice one this. Mcbunny - did you ever do a guide and some pics? Would quite like to see it installed. Just cos I'm curious really, no way I can afford that at the mo and TT5 on a PocketPC is doing me just fine presently :D

The best advise I could ever give you about these is never take the Nav Disc out. Even the slightest scratch will bugger the disc and at
