It's completely CHAV!! I have an image in my mind of a nasty Nova with a badly flushed tailgate and then a square number plate with makeshift light hanging poorly from the back, almost scraping the ground.

Don't do it!!

Smooth tailgates usually look really nice. Not a fan of lexus lights as such, but if you're happy with how it ends up, that's all that matters :)

Lexus lights? Are they like Paxo lights?

im not a big fan of the lexus lights but personal taste i guess.

as far as the smooth tailgate thing goes i have never seen the point to be honest. you are removing a number plate recess in the hatch just so you have to create a new recess in the bumper  but that might just be me. so goog luck in the project anyway

Be sure to post's photo's if you get it done!

Anyone else under the impression Paul doesnt like lexus lights?

Dont blame you, they should be burnt, along with the people that buy them! (maybe a little harsh?)

no! ......

Not quite sure what you're trying to say :D

The new Honda Civic Type R comes standard with 'Lexi' lights.....BAD MOVE HONDA.....THEY WERE OK 5 YEARS AGO

Paul dont hold back say what you think!!! :D

lexus used to be ok at first but now it's just so common! But if you like it mate then that's all that matters

Never seen the back of a Lexus......only the front end disappearing in my rear view mirror :rofl::rofl:

Often driven by faceless suits, or OAP,s

Further to that point, I've started seeing 05MY Rovers on the roads, and they seem to have saved the buyers the bother! I thought Rover were trying to re-establish themselves as a classy marque!?! (It'll never work...)

This was what somebody did to my car to give it the flushed look, but leaving the standard lights. Only problem is I'd have to get a plate and lights mounted elsewhere which I a) don't fancy doing due to difficulty, and B) don't really like the look of either.

About as tasteful as calling your children: Brooklyn, Cruz, Jordan, Romeo, Tyler-may, peaches, etc.

Ruster18 - what car do you have? Furby or Octy

Have you done any mock-ups on the computer to see what it would look like? It's very Euro, they love their flushed tailgates and lights over there. I think it looks good when done well. I was thinking about having it done on my Octy but i put the funds into other areas instead!

think the flushed tailgates look well, just make sure you don't scrap when it comes to putting the number plate back on. My mate had a saxo and used the recess from a mk1 or 2 clio got the lights and all built into it and looks smart in the bumper, actually thinking about something like this for mine. Just not sure about the lexus style lights some of the cheaper makes leak and look cheap, but all the best with it and make sure we see some pics soon

Ive only got diesel :( :D

What I like most about it is the subtle use of the Briskoda sticker, not too ott... :P

Hell, no-one else can claim to be promoting the site on their car as much as me. :D Well, I think Paul used to take that prize with his old vRS. :D
