light switch help

Featured Replies

my rear lights are playing up. the left light only works the normal rear light but no fog light and the right only the fog light works but no normal light. i have made sure the light boards are ok so think it might be the switch.. any help would be aprecieted thanks.

Check the following:

Light bulps

Fuses in the fuse pannel.

The wiring (tend to break in the back)

If this does not work, you can pull out the light switch but pressing it and turning it clock wise till it is vertical - now you can remove the switch and with a multimeter check if the switch is ok. But I don't think you will find the fault here, because one side of your lights are working.

ive got the same problem, left side light works, right doesnt. fog lights work and third brakelight doesnt work.somethin wrong with fabia bloody lights!!

You only have one fog light, On the offside!

As a quick check, Swap the bulbs side for side and see what happens, Then renew bulbs as required!

Check to see if power is reaching light connection at loom end, with a test light, is the most simplest way.

Check bulbs for illumination off the vehicle.

As said only off-side foglight works as a rule, unless adapted like I have done so both sides work.

problem solved. due to me bein a bit of a simpleton i forgot to check both side of fuses and it turned out to be a fuse thanks for the help anyway

It is sorta weird that each side with your lights have their own fuse, so you got to look each side with it's own fuse.??emoticon-0148-yes.gif
