Do the courtesy lights in the doors come on when you open one? Possibly knackered door lock module.

Does it bong if you drive off with the handbrake on? (The light just needs to be showing, not clutch wrecking levels of on needed.) Will help narrow down if the buzzer is working, or as said, the door sensor.

Do your indicators make an audible click? Same buzzer, like mentioned above.

Had this problem fixed at unit 18 was a faulty door lock mechanism.

With my 2005 Fabia VRS, had my buzzer replaced, but it is/was integrated with the speedometer, so had a new speedometer fitted under warranty.

Mine's currently got this problem. As D7 Gum says, it's a faulty door lock mechanism. Local Skoda garage said it'll cost £200 to supply and fit the part (3B2837016R). It's quite a common problem actually. From what others have said, it's the micro switches within this mechanism that can fail, as the electrical connection(s) can come loose. Apparently, it can be fixed quite easily by soldering the connectors back together, which is what I'll be attempting when the days get longer and I'll have more time to strip the door down!

The job looked a right PITA which is why im glad Unit 18 did it for me :p lol He charged around £155 quid to supply and fit part inc VAT

does you fuel light buzzer and indicators still tick? if no then its your dash cluster ( i have this problem) if its just the lights buzzer then probz lok mech
