Featured Replies

Hi all, just let you know, me and ICT/internet dont mix, i dont have a sodding clue.

Anyways if anyone remembers dial up, one min all is fine untill someone picks up the phone and bye bye internet, well mine is doing the same even though its broadband, iv rung BT and they no use, anyone got any suggestions?

P.S im running a wireless connection...if that makes any difference

Have you got a microfilter on each socket that a phone is connected to?

yeah the router is down stairs and it has one of those filters

You need a microfilter on any BT socket that has equipment connected to it.

Sounds like you've exceeded the REN value for a domestic BT line though. How many phone handsets have you got physically connected to a BT socket?

from the main landline there is a splitter, house phone plugged into one and the filter in the other, which then goes to the router

Plug the filter in before the splitter

Plug the filter in before the splitter

Will do, thanks

Exactly. That's where your issue may well be :)
