HI,

I'm looking for someone with mechanical experience of skoda/vw/seat car's in the NW kent area. I need some help diagnosing a noise

my Seat Ibiza is making - it sounds like a clanking noise when driving over uneven ground. but doesn't do it (anymore or less) when driving over speed humps that at any other time. I've replaced the rear lower wishbobe arm bush(both sides), also the antiroll bar endlinks(both), and the gearbox engine mount and i had the car MOT'd and they said that everything looked fine and was nice and tight. They suggested the gearbox mount (which i've now done)

but the noise is still happening. It sounds so loud that people turn and look as we go past. I just don't know what it is. PLEASE HELP!!!

In my experience loud metallic clanking sounds going over rough surfaces usually ends up being the exhaust. If not the mounting that has shifted or come adrift then maybe a loose baffle inside.
