For those people using eBay to try and find winter wheels it is a minefield with hardly anyone being able to list their wheels properly. These two websites below might help.

The first is a UK site and shows VAG 5x112 steel and alloy wheels (that will fit a VW Caddy, Octavia II, Superb II, Yeti etc). They don't have pictures though:

This second link is a US based website, so not all and everything will correspond to the UK. They also show photographs of most to compare with what you see on eBay. It has useful links from 4x100 stud arrangement right up to 5x130 (Audi Q7 etc). This site should help from Felicia (4x100), through Octavia I (5x100) right up to the Octavia II, Superb II and Yeti (5x112):

If you have found other useful websites please add them to the thread below.

Not strictly VAG specific wheels but somewhere on Briskoda today someone posted a link to this website for a 15" wheel. Good to see they do 15" and 16" wheels:

http://www.wheelbase...&s=steel+wheels#

Yes but £200+ for steel wheels .... really?

Anyone looking for 15" steels from a MK5 Golf (5x112) there are a set on the MK5 forum for £60 IIRC c/w very good summer tyres and wheel trims

mytres.co.uk seem to be pretty competative for steel wheels and tyres.

I paid £320 for four 14" steelies fitted with Bridgstone Blizzak's for my wife's Fabia.

Cheers

Lee

Yup, got a set a year or so ago, they are identical to VAG 14" steels so you can get VAG covers to fit them if you want.

TOPTIP: If you simply search for www.Ebay.de and then search for "Winterreifen Skoda", or if its just for rims/wheels then "Felge Skoda", or steelies "Stahlfelge Skoda", you'll find lots of accurate results, and some reasonable deals. :p

Would like some advice please. My daughter wants to borrow my car (07 Scout) for a winter trip to Scotland, so would like to make thing as safe as poss. I have read through a few posts this morning (not too many as am at work) and am a little confused with terms such as pcd/ET50/ 5x112 etc.. I have read that 16" wheels (steel or alloy) from an Audi A4 will be ok fitted with suitable winter tyres. Would this be correct. I currently have 225/50/R17 tyres fitted. Any advice/links before I start searching eBay etc........Thanks

Would these be ok ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-A4-Audi-5-x-Alloy-Wheels-Tyres-205-55-16-5-stud-/200973774520

Hi  Best to read this thread in the Octy section or ask that question there:

 http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/215362-show-us-your-winter-wheels/

First port of call is your insurance however.  To ask if you can fit any wheels OTHER than Skoda ones.  If they are a no on that, then it will be steel Skoda wheels for you.

I specifically asked my insurance if there would be any premium for "genuine VAG alloys that were Škoda's recommended size for winter wheels" then bought Audi alloys.

I have Audi alloys and my insurer was quite happy as long as they were a Skoda recommended size.

My insurance don't insist that I fitted VAG wheels, just that the size of the wheels and tyres were to Skoda's recommendations.  They accepted that I would fit Dezent 17x7 ET45 (or 17x7.5 ET48) alloy wheels with Nokian WR D3 225/45-17 94H XL tyres. No increase in premium or one-off charge (I should damn well hope not when I am improving the safety of the car).
