Glass cloths

Featured Replies

Need one to clean my windscreen inside and out. Got stuff to clean it but just need decent cloths

I highly recommend micro fibre cloths, don't use fabric condtioner when washing the cloths as it will make the glass all streaky ;)

So normal microfibre will do? I thought there were ones specifically for glass

There are soooo many variations on a theme of microfibre cloths!!

Waffleweave are great as the above link from vwdan1986

I use two of these, they are a very short haired microfibre cloth! :giggle:

Perfect that just what I was looking for. What are people using to clean the glass especially inside? When it steams up I can still see where some of the stickers were before PDI. Did try AG Car Glass Polish with a microfibre, but one not as fine as that but it didn't seem to do much. I tried one microfibre cloth and left lint all over the screen :(

I did pick up Rain X but after reading reviews of it I don't think I'll bother. At least not for the windscreen anyway.

I use a regular microfibre as often the inside is beyond just mist - actually droplets! (depends on the weather) - The glass cloth sounds like a good one to use once the majority of the water is off though.

Dont need any of these special cloths imo, anything clean and relatively soft is fine.

I also use Rain X with no problems. :)

I got a set from "Home and Bargain" which had a Glass cloth, two "ordinary" microfibre cloths and thicker Microfibre pad for £1.49.

I use THESE for the interior.

I usually clean the internal glass with AG Glass Polish first then finish off with either CG Window Cleaner or AG Fast Glass. Use the microfibres above to buff off.

 Works for me!

I love these for buffing, would have thought they were crap on windows?

I have just used RainX interior anti-mist...er it's sh*te, windows misting after 2months :(

I have just got a bottle of this for the outside, check the vids out..

Just used the "C4 Permanent Trim Restorer" on all the outside bits, worked well, might try this. Rain X works "ok" on the outside glass but could be better. :)

holy crap...that is some seriously expensive kit! Er does it stop your trim going white if you get any wax on it?

(sorry for going OT)

Dont know, not got any on it yet. :D Though the wax I use doesn't seem to do that anyway (dodo juice banana armour).

I use kitchen paper and Mr Muscle window cleaner, works for me.
