Helix SMF and flywheel

Featured Replies

So ive bought a second hand Helix Autosport SMF kit and hopefully will be fitting it soon

Few questions for you guys

Looking at the flywheel and pressure plate it looks to be worn unevenly so im not sure will i need skimming?

Also not sure if it will require a new friction plate. It was said to have done 10k on this and doesnt look like there is much meat left on it

Also the pressure plate has no markings on it so not sure if it will fit as this didnt come off a fabia. Where is this located?

Anyway heres some pictures. Cheers

Loads of life in it!

Looks like a revised one so its newer than 2007 for sure!

Will be fine!

Who did u buy it off btw?

Someone off a local vw forum. It came off a bora

The rivets look quite close to the surface, some are further set in, do these wear away??

Also how does the flywheel and pressure plate look?

Plenty of life left in the clutch plate, looks like it has been slipped a lot at some stage due to the heat marks in the pressure and flywheel should be fine though as I had a much worse one in my rally Mini and that was fine.

That is like new. Even when there new the look like they dont have much meat on there.

My paddle clutch has about half the material above the rivets as that has and its brand new :-\
