vRS Estate?...Yes please...I'm in

Featured Replies

Collected my estate on Friday and after much anticipation it has lived up to all the hype that I have read on this forum since February. I have done a couple of mods already with the help of/inspiration from the frequent contributors to the forum and would like to thank those who answered my questions and gave advice. I have learnt a lot and felt that mistakes were avoided because forum members took time to give an opinion.

Not all rosy (and not wishing to tar all dealers with the same brush) as the buying experience was not great.

Cheers

Welcome to the club of discerning estate owners - shame they fobbed you off with a mere diesel but, not to worry, you have a great car !

This thread needs pics

I had a choice to make when choosing my vRS.

Well...just set up my album on photobucket.

As to the mods...de badge, colour coded grill (not to everyone's taste I know!), OEM additional springs (Eibach), 20% rear tints...

Now thinking of black wing mirrors and anthracite or gloss black alloys..

Sorry photography not my strong point!

White grill and tints - defo, looks ace.

Black wing mirrors, dark alloys - a step too far

great pics...and as he said above

If you copy and paste the 'direct link' instead of the 'html code' from photobucket into the 'insert image' button at the top of the thread your images will appear on your post

Very nice! I like it. Congrats

Vey nice Falkster, hope you have many happy motoring miles in it!

Looks great!

Mine was that shiny once (it was being used a to ferry rubble to the tip again today... Very mucky).

looks very nice.

i like darker wheels on white ones but must admit it looks very good silver to be honest

don't suppose you took any photos before getting the windows tinted?

cant make my mind up on factory fit or after market - or not at all.... suppose after market is best bet then I could remove if I didn't like it!

Thanks for all the comments guys and am pleased with the positive feedback.

Marcevo1 - no mate..for reasons I won't go into I had the dealer fit 20% tints (shade for the kids/privacy/contrast with body colour). I went to my local dealer for a touch up stick (yes, stone chips already!) and saw a couple of stock vRs' and was surprised at how light the rears were. I would suggest having a ride round to see one.

For me the tints are part of the package to get the final result I wanted. Some on here don't like tints. I do find that they darken rear visibility (obvious really) which hopefully won't be an issue.

I'm sure I can see a few scratches already?..........;)

See you Friday

Looks awesome, don't think I've seen many White FL Estates out on the roads to be honest either!!

I'm going to "hopefully" pick up a 56 plate Race Blue Estate tonight - it'll be the first time I've ever had such a sensible car but I keep getting told I won't go back once i've had an Estate haha.

I have a detailing company as a weekend job so it will come in handy anyway for that alone, let alone taking the little ones camping another day :-)

I like mine too just the rides too hard for me must be getting old.....emoticon-0106-crying.gif

and it fits 2 great danes as well, looked at loads of cars even the superb but nothing comes close

looked at an se-plus or a scout but wife like the vrs so will wait until 3 years are up for warranty then it looks like a scout for me

Wow! Stunning! Candy white vRS estate is what I am seriously considering. How much did the Dealer charge to lower it (parts & labour) may I ask?

I'm also thinking of gloss black alloys (which actually are a Skoda optional accessory in other markets), gloss black grille surround and gloss black mirrors.

Looks Amazing! Wish I had been able to go for the estate! Many happy years of driving the vRS buddy.
