My car has been to two different Skoda dealers for its four services.

In all cases they have used the Castrol Edge 5-30. Charged me £29 for the oil used.

They indicated they use this in everything. Petrols and diesels. Its a long life oil and is also 507 spec so safe on DPF cars. I think their opinion is that as its spec allows it to be used in everything its easier and more cost efficient to buy in bulk and just use this.

I use castrol edge 5w 40 but is the best available for diesel
